21st July, 2009 Managing the Cost of Technology

SMMT Foresight Vehicle organised a one day seminar entitled “Managing the Cost of Technology” on behalf of the Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technology Knowledge Transfer Network. Overall 59 people participated in the event on 21st July, 2009 at the Digital Laboratory Auditorium at Warwick University.

The SMMT, Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technology KTN and IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Automotive division) supported the event. The object of the seminar was to address reduction in carbon emissions from vehicles by discussing

“We have the technology but how much will it cost to implement it?”

There were presentations in key areas including Lightweighting structures, Powertrains and Energy Storage and also Research and Funding Opportunities.
